How the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Questionnaire was developed

 

Using our extensive in-house experience of risk management and a pool of academic resources on diversity and equality; our Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Questionnaire was methodically developed to be relevant to many suppliers. Legislation and guidance from the UK Equality Act 2010 lay out specific rules and exceptions which formed the Equality questions.

Questions, sections and scoring used in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Questionnaire

 

The structure of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Questionnaire consists of nine sections covering company information, legislation, business strategy, recruitment, employee onboarding, employee information, employee engagement, monitoring and looking forward. The questionnaire is scored on a tiered basis and provided answers are either scored: Info, Okay, Low-, Medium- or High-risk. The question scores are summed, and the questionnaire score is calculated as a fraction of the maximum possible. A report will highlight remediation actions which can help to ensure a supplier has an effective diversity and inclusion strategy which goes beyond legal compliance and seeks to add value to your organisation, contributes to employee well-being and makes a positive contribution to a fairer society.
