    Rizikon Assurance 2.5 Release Notes

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.5 as of the 24th of September 2020. This release includes:

    Email Template Customisation

Email templates can now be configured for each tenant on request. This allows for customised content on the following email templates:

    · Assessment reminder

    · Assessment status activity

    · Password reset

    · User invitation

    Requesting Additional Completers

It is now possible for completers invited to the system to invite other contacts into the assessment workflow without the need for manager involvement. This will reduce the number of actions taken to assign the correct user to an assessment and make the process more efficient.

Completers can click the “request additional completer” action inside an assessment, creating another contact in the system and sending an invitation email. This action also automatically assigns the new contact to the original assessment, and adds a note to the added contact of how they were added to the system.

This feature is disabled by default, but can be enabled on request, and will be added as an option in the manager settings page in a future release.

Email Deliverability Improvements and Duplication Prevention

An idle period has been introduced when sending emails (such as system invitations) to the same user in short succession. This will reduce repetition and improving deliverability, and will also resolve an issue whereby multiple invitation emails were sent and only the latest had the correct (working) link.

An issue has also been resolved where assessments added in bulk would not send out invitation emails correctly when the “Send” action was done manually.

    Updated Standard Assessments

Two new Assessments have been added to the standard library:

    • National Minimum Wage: This assessment will help organisations who wish to assure themselves that their suppliers and partners are operating in compliance with the UK Labour Market Regulations.

    • Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity: This assessment will help you to assess your suppliers' approach to Diversity and Inclusitivity and also assess their compliance to UK legislation on Equality.

If you have any questions or issues, please let us know.

    Kind Regards,

    Ken Fraser

  • 2.4.1

    Rizikon Assurance 2.4.1 Release Notes

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.4.1 as of the 31st of July 2020. This release includes:

    Question-set Edit Page

It is now possible for managers to make changes to Question-sets on their system.  This is available on the “Tools” dropdown, under “Question-sets”.

This has been a widely requested feature, and will allow customisation, configuration and updates to the underlying question-sets for use in assessments in the system.

Any changes or updates to an existing question-set are saved as a “revision” of the assessment, which is then applied across the existing history of assessments intelligently.  This maintains the validity of assessments that have previously been submitted by keeping them as the previous revision, while “open” assessments are updated to the new revision.

It is also possible to add a new question-set to the system, simply by uploading a file of a new, unique name.  This will allow flexibility for Rizikon users to add the content they need, when they need it.

    Updated Standard Assessments

As part of the new ability to edit the question-sets in the system, we have updated the standard Rizikon Library of assessments, including revisions to:

    • Security Low Risk: updated name to Cyber Security (CE based).  This assessment has also received several content updates to the wording of questions, with some new questions having been added.

    • Security High Risk: updated name to Cyber Security (IASME GOV based) - This assessment has also received several content updates to the wording of questions, with some new questions having been added.

    • GDPR Data Processor: This assessment has received several changes, updates and clarifications to the wording of questions, and has some new questions to more fully cover the scope.

    • Supplier Onboarding: This assessment has received some minor changes and additions.

If you have any questions or issues, please let us know.

    • Supplier Triage (internal) - This short assessment covers three sections for gauging a supplier's potential impact on your business.  Read more

    Admin Settings Page
Admin users will now be able to access the "Settings" page on the top-right drop-down menu.  This page contains many of the configuration options needed to manage your Rizikon portal, including Organisation Name and support/contact information, logos, labels and tags.
This will allow managers to properly configure their site, and will be added to in the future as more options become available.

User Experience Improvements and Bug Fixes
Various aspects of the user interface have been improved, including the navigation from a Scorecard back to the Organisation Details page via the link at the top of the screen. Search results have also been improved by including the additional assessors and Completers for assessments.  Various actions or statuses are now colour coded to make it easier to distinguish them in a list, and assessment submission requirements are now more explicitly stated to help avoid confusion.

There are also a large number of bug fixes, including the missing notifications for Assessors and Completers whose role was changed. Tag colours are now also correctly displayed on the hover-over expansion list, making them easier to identify. We have also improved the API with Creditsafe to improve stability.

Technology improvements and upcoming feature support
The ability to edit and create question sets is being worked on and the first version of this will be available to all current users free of charge. There have been improvements made to the way assessments are handled in the system. While this work is not yet visible to users, much of the underlying architecture has been improved and updated. More information on this will be available in the coming weeks.

  • 2.3

    Rizikon Assurance 2.3 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.3 as of 9th April 2020. This release includes:

Assessment Score History and Workflow Changes

The overall score for an Assessment is now also tracked in a similar way to Question Scores, showing who the score was set by (Rizikon or user), the date this was set, and the original score if this was edited manually by the user.
A warning message also now appears when attempting to assign a user to an assessment for a company they have not previously been associated in order to reduce the change of an incorrect recipient being selected.

    Email System Improvements

Users can now set their email preferences in the Notifications centre Settings page.  The system will be expanded on in the future to allow full control of all notifications.
    Email deliverability has also improved.

    Scorecard and Criticality Chart Improvements

Scorecards now dynamically refresh and update the Criticality chart on the Manager Summary page.
Users can now also navigate from a Creditsafe Segment on a scorecard to  the underlying Creditsafe Report.
Scorecards can now also be configured so that manually updating the Risk and Impact from a scorecard uses a dropdown selector of valid values, rather than requiring manual input.

    Bulk Upload and Download Improvements

We have made large improvements to the importing and exporting of data, with new fields having been added for Additional Completers, Additional Assessors, Default Scorecard, Impact Value and tags to the import templates. The download files now also includes fields for tags (from Organisaitons) and Additional Completers/Assessors (for Assessments).

Bug Fixes and User Experience Improvements

Multiple minor bugs have been fixed, particularly around Scorecards and displaying combined questions of varying types in the columns.  User experience improvements include reworked modal boxes for displaying more information to the user and prompting specific actions, rather than generic ones.  Notifications are now also marked as “Read” after having clicked the “View Source” button.

  • 2.2

    Rizikon Assurance 2.2 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.2 as of 17th February 2020. This release includes:

    Scorecard Improvements
More source information has been added to scorecards, and users can now navigate directly from a scorecard to the origin of the underlying data, and source information tool-tips have been updated to show the user that provided the data.

This workflow improvement allows managers to track the provenance of the data on scorecards, and drill down to locate and remedy the highest priority issues.

    Security Updates
All attachments added to questions will be scanned for malicious code.  There have been some user interface changes to display the different statuses of attachments, which can be seen by:

    • Blue icon (unscanned)

    • Grey icon (scanning)

    • Green icon (scanned with no malicious code detected)

    • Red icon (scanned with signs of malicious code)

Attachments will be unavailable for download while being scanned or in the event of an attachment being suspected as containing malicious code.  Once the upload has completed, users do not have to wait for the scan to complete before leaving the page as normal.

    Bulk Upload Improvements
Unnecessary mandatory fields have been removed from the bulk importing templates to improve the user experience of this feature, specifically the "Assessment Status" column. The new templates are available from the bulk data upload page as usual.

Furthermore, a new "Default Scorecard" field has been added to the Organisations upload template, allowing this information to be set quickly and easily from a CSV file.

    Bug Fixes

Multiple bugs have been fixed, including the display issues with the 6x6 Criticality dashboard displaying old values, especially when the default scorecard has changed.  Furthermore, users will no longer see a "Processing refused" error when they have been appropriately logged out due to inactivity, and the "impact" column in the bulk data upload template for Organisations should now also work as intended, allowing users to set Organisation Impact in bulk.

We have also made some changes to the way we handle emails, with the intention of improving reliability and delivery.

If you have any questions or issues, please let us know.

  • 2.1

    Rizikon Assurance 2.1 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.1 as of 31st October 2019. This release includes:

    Notifications

All users will now be able to see a notifications dropdown on the navigation bar, next to User Options. This will allow users to receive notifications from within the system on such things as Assigned assessments, Comments, Submissions and Assessments being Sent for Clarification, among others.

To View a notification, click the bell icon. This will show notifications from the last 30 days, filtered by "unread" first. Users can mark a notification as "read" by clicking the orange dot on the left, or delete it by clicking the cross on the right.

This feature will expand in future updates and will integrate closely with the other parts of the system to greatly improve workflow.

    Scorecard Improvements

Scorecard has received various improvements to functionality and display.  Managers can now:

    • Pin attachments from assessments to scorecard tables, allowing easy access to evidence directly from the scorecard page.

    • See the source of information for table entries, allowing for a more transparent and useful display of data.

    • See combined questions formatted properly, with answers displayed together.

    • View long answers on a scorecard by hovering over the "+" icon to see the full result with improved formatting.

    • Directly select the score of a risk segment when manually entering data, rather than having to input a value from 1-5.

The system labels for "Impact", "Criticality" and "Scorecard" are now also all customisable, allowing for a seamless integration with existing terminology and procedures.

User Experience Improvements and Bug Fixes

Various aspects of the user interface have been improved, including the "Details" pages for Contacts, Organisations and Assessments. Actions are now located on the left hand side, and the options have been redesigned to highlight the primary actions and improve the user experience.

The Criticality Dashboard has also received some usability improvements, including the ability to click anywhere on the cells rather than the contained number.

Multiple bugs have been fixed, including the display issues with Risk Segment labels being cut-off by the scorecard tables, and the calendar selection appearing underneath the navigation bar for some questions.

  • 2.0

    Rizikon Assurance 2.0 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 2.0 as of 3rd September 2019.

    This release includes:

    Dashboard 2.0: Criticality Distribution Chart

The Organisation Criticality Distribution is a 6x6 matrix that can plot "Impact" against "Risk" for all suppliers on the system. This appears for all scorecard users of Rizikon Assurance 2.0 on the Summary Page.

Also appearing on the Organisations page as an additional filtering option, this new viewpoint of Impact and Risk empowers Assurance Managers to categorise, navigate and prioritise with a view to the most critical organisations to their business.

    Scorecard Official Release

Organisation Scorecards centralise data held about a third party or supplier into one, 360° view of risk. They combine risk information from Rizikon Assurance's intelligent Assessments across multiple topics, as well as data from Companies House and credit-scoring from Creditsafe. To view a scorecard, navigate to the organisation details page and press the "Scorecard" button on the actions menu, or use the Criticality Distribution Chart to go directly to the scorecard for an organisation.

Scorecards are split into three main segments, with Key Information about the organisation, Highlighted Risk Details, and a Criticality chart with a breakdown of risk scoring on a segment by segment basis.  Scorecards are highly customisable, and can also be downloaded into PDF format.

    Creditsafe Integration Official Release

Rizikon Assurance 2.0 also includes the official release of our integration with Creditsafe, and their 320-million records of company information and credit risk database.

Organisations can be linked with Creditsafe listed companies to verify key information, and a report can be downloaded to feed credit risk data into scorecards. Full company reports can also be viewed in the system, allowing quick and easy credit risk checks of Third Parties.

Requesting Creditsafe report data and viewing a full report will use Creditsafe tokens, which can be added to the system as required.

Bug Fixes and user experience improvements

Several bugs have been fixed, especially around formatting, displaying information and tool-tips correctly, the behaviour of actions when using the browser back button, stability, the syncing of information correctly on new graphics, and other minor issues and improvements.

    Scorecard (beta) Improvements

Requesting Creditsafe report data and viewing a full report will use Creditsafe tokens, which can be added to the system as required.

Creditsafe will be commercially available in Rizikon 2.0.

    System Tags: Risk and Impact

In addition to Organisation Impact tags, Risk tags will now be assigned to Organisations based on their default Scorecard risk value. This tag will allow managers to better organise and navigate the Organisations on the system based on risk priority. They will be automatically generated by the appropriate scorecard risk level. The levels now range from "Unclassified (0), Very Low (1) .. to 5 (Very High)" for both impact and risk tags.

These tags are also now customisable as part of the configuration process of a tenant.

    Various user experience fixes

The application has also been made easier to view on smaller screens, includes new filtering options for organisations, and other minor bugfixes and improvements.

  • 1.9

    Rizikon Assurance 1.9 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 1.9 as of 25th January 2019.

    Version 1.9 contains the following changes;

    Improved Usability and Accessibility

Various actions have been reworked to become clearer and easier to use, and tooltips have been added to describe available actions or sections to users throughout the platform.  Layout and colour schemes have also been updated to improve readability.

    Terminology Changes

Terminology across the platform has also been updated and clarified.  Such changes include a renaming of “Suppliers” to “Organisations”, as the portal may be used to assure any organisation not exclusively within the supply chain.

    Usage And Statistics Page

Usage and statistics are now available to customer admins, accessible through the manager summary page.  This allows these managers to easily monitor the metadata on their portal, allowing them to see more information and track their assurance programme with ease.

    Modern Slavery Assessment

We have added a Modern Slavery Risk assessment to our standard library of assessments. This can now be used along with our existing standard assessments by an organisation to assess the risk of Modern Slavery within organisations in their supply chain, and that are linked to the goods or services they are procuring.

Risk scoring is based on the 2018 Global Slavery Index Slavery Vulnerability Model data and US Department of Labor List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor (2018) data for high risk countries and materials.  To find out more, visit: www.rizikon.io/modern-slavery-risk

    Assessment Notes

Managers can now add an externally visible note to an assessment, visible on the summary page of the assessment and in the corresponding notification email. This is an optional note that managers can use to introduce an assessment and provide any extra information to organisations before they begin completion.

    Improved Email Notifications

Email notifications now have more detailed and helpful wording, as well as directly referencing the organisation that sent out the notification on the email “from” field to be more recognisable.

  • 1.8

    Rizikon Assurance 1.8 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 1.8 as of 30th October 2018.

    Version 1.8 contains the following changes;

    Improved Assessment Renewal

Assessment renewal dates can now be set upon Approval/Rejection of an assessment. Renewal dates now appear in the Assessment List view, and there is now a filter option to display all renewal dates that are up for renewal.

    Supplier Tagging

Suppliers can now be “tagged” and organised into groups. This allows managers to sort suppliers into categories such as “Risk level”, “Location”, “Certifications held”, and any other grouping that can be defined by managers. Tags can then be used to filter the Supplier List, and can be used to target specific suppliers for review or assessment.

    Anti-Bribery & Corruption assessment

We have added an Anti-Bribery and Corruption assessment to our standard library of assessments. This can now be used along with our existing standard assessments and assesses the risk of bribery or corruption within an organisation.

    Improved setup for new customers

We have improved our new customer setup process to allow new customers to start using Rizikon Assurance as quickly as possible.

    Improved Email Notifications

Email notifications now reference the assessments that generated them, so completers and assessors are aware of the specific assessment that requires attention.

  • 1.6

    Rizikon Assurance 1.6 release note

Rizikon Assurance has been updated to version 1.6 as of 8th August 2018.

    Version 1.6 contains the following changes;

    Improved Review page

The review page has been updated to allow assessors to efficiently review all answers, comments, and attachments in one place. Assessors can now flag questions, add comments, view attachments, and manually update the assessment scores from the review page (If enabled). By viewing and responding to all answers on one screen, the review process is now significantly faster for assessors.

    Improved Manager assessment status graph

The manager assessment status graph now includes click-through filtering. Managers can view a list of assessments filtered by status by clicking on the assessment status graph.

    Date type questions

Assessments can now include dates as an answer type. This allows suppliers to enter expiry dates, certification dates, renewal dates, and more. Date questions include a calendar selection method to ensure consistent date formatting when sending assessments to different countries.

    Dynamic table questions

Assessments can now include dynamic table questions. Dynamic tables allow completers to add as many rows as required to answer the question. These tables can be used to gather information when the number of rows can't be specified in advance.

    Decimal questions

Assessments can now include non-integer numbers as answers, allowing for a wider range of number based inputs.

    Optional Freetext questions

Freetext questions can now be made "optional" meaning that a completer is not required to answer the question. Optional freetext can be used to add a description or explanation to an answer if further details are required, but without forcing all completers to add unnecessary details.

  • 1.7

    Rizikon 1.7 release note

Rizikon has been updated to version 1.7 as of 12th April 2017.

    Version 1.7 contains the following changes;

    Modular question set

Rizikon now provides a modular approach to completing the questionnaire. This means that users are only required to answer the questions that are directly relevant to them.

To provide this modular question set, new questions have been added asking which assessments the user would like to carry out: cyber risk, Cyber Essentials, or GDPR. Users with pre-existing profiles should answer "Yes" to all assessment questions 4, 5, and 6 in the "Organisation Information" section if they wish to view all of the questions they have previously answered.

    Modular report structure

The Rizikon report can now be generated without requiring the user to complete a full question set. The report provides the option to generate the cyber risk, Cyber Essentials, and GDPR report sections individually, without completing the full question set.

    Updated Quick Check

Rizikon Quick Check now contains additional co-branding for partners.

  • 1.3

    Rizikon 1.3 release note

Rizikon has been updated to version 1.3 as of 14th October 2016.

    Version 1.3 contains the following changes;

    Improved report

The Rizikon report has been restructured and reworded in some places.

There is more consistency between the pie charts and explanation of the risk percentages.

There are new colour-coded (high, medium, low priority) tables of recommendations.

The Executive Summary has been completely reworded to reduce technical language and to focus on high-level cyber security risks and recommendations.

Note that, because of the change in layout, the report compare function will not work well when comparing an old (version 1.2 and older) layout report with a version 1.3 and later one.)

A new Sample report PDF is available on request from Crossword Rizikon Support (via support@rizikon.io)

    Question changes

Many of the questions have had minor cosmetic changes to improve comprehension and grammar.

Cyber Essentials questions have all been marked (CE).

    Background data

The risk calculation algorithm has been updated.
